Ray is a Louisville native and West End School graduate. Since receiving his PFF Scholarship in the Fall of 2014, Ray has not only become an exemplary student but a member of the Petrino family as well.
Through attending weekly dinners with Executive Director Kelsey Petrino Scott, holiday celebrations at Coach Petrino and wife Becky’s house, helping to officiate the wedding of Deputy Director Katie Petrino Beard, and giving the youngest members of the family, Coach Petrino’s 4 grandchildren, an extended Brother/Uncle to look up to, Ray has found his place among the Petrino family.
Ray also enjoys participating in UofL recreational sports and community service activities. This Fall, he is set to intern for the Petrino Family Foundation to help complete his degree in Sports Administration. Ray is scheduled to graduate in Fall of 2019, with honors. The Petrino family and Petrino Family Foundation could not be more proud of the young man he has become and he has set the bar high for any PFF scholarship recipients who come after him. One thing is for sure though, he will always be a part of the Petrino family!
